Suraj Sejuwal's journey began in the picturesque and promising landscapes of Jumla, Nepal. Nestled among majestic mountains, Jumla is a place where possibilities bloom as abundantly as the apple orchards that dot its terrain. Despite its remote location, the beauty and potential of Jumla inspired Suraj from a young age.
Raised across a tapestry of towns – Nepalgunj, Dang, Dhangadi, Bhairawaha, Kathmandu, and Delhi – each location shaped his character and fueled his dreams. With an unwavering commitment to education, Suraj achieved an LL.M degree in International and Commercial Law, embodying his passion for justice and knowledge.
A tech enthusiast and certified programmer, Suraj’s heart beats for more than just codes and statutes. Since 2005, he has poured his soul into the student movement, fighting for the rights and dreams of countless others. Today, as the spokesperson of the Nepal Students' Union, Suraj stands at the helm of Nepal’s largest student union, a beacon of resistance against tyranny and autocracy.
The union, with its storied legacy, tirelessly champions the causes of the common people and strives for qualitative education. It has marched bravely through every pivotal moment in Nepal’s political transformation, including the birth of the Republic. Leading over 130 Free Students Unions, Suraj and the Nepal Students' Union remain steadfast in their mission to uplift Nepal's education system, igniting hope and change for generations to come.
